I am a Specialist Family Physician who practices medicine with a strong focus on health and wellbeing and on partnering with patients on their journey to wellness. I have a holistic approach to managing health and health care problems.
I qualified as a medical doctor at the University of Pretoria in 1998. I worked in hospital practice for 12 years and gained valuable experience in various departments. These included General Medicine, Paediatrics, Anaesthetics, Minor Surgical Procedures, Emergency Medicine and Obstetrics and Gynaecology. I also worked in the Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT), Psychiatry and HIV clinics.
I completed diplomas in Child Health, DCH (SA) and in Anaesthetics, DA (SA), in 2001 and 2002 respectively and then specialised further completing a 4 year Masters degree training program in Family Medicine, MMed(FamMed), at the University of KwaZulu-Natal in 2011.
I entered private practice in 2012 and established my own family medicine wellness practice in 2014.
I am firmly committed to assisitng my patients and their families to find health and wholeness.
